Virgin Poker Festival London

Not much to report. Mel Judah was at my Loose Cannon table. I picked up KK in early position. 50/100 level, I open raise (I had been the most active), Golden ticket winner re-raises me. I 4-bet and he shoves. Almost passed but since I couldnt really play all day Sunday (online MTT commitments) and wanted to go to party Saturday night I called knowing there was >70% chance he had Aces! He did and I was one of the first 10 people out I think.

That left the rest of the day free to check out the WSOPE at the Empire and eat a nice chinese meal in Chinatown before a bday/engagement party at Mahiki which was pretty cool!

Congrats to MadDuke (who won the last Virgin Festival main event) for making back-to-back final tables!

September Shenanigans

Just finished 1st out of 180 in the Get to Know Unibet €1,000 Freeroll, so I thought I'd use this opportunity to do a little September update.

Played 10,000 NL 6-max hands at the begining of the month and I've now played 10,000 PLO/PLO8B hands also. All I can say is that Omaha > Holdem!

Barcelona EPT

Congrats to Sebastian Ruthenberg for winning the EPT Barcelona and €1.3 million! I was in Barcelona for a couple of days not to play poker and had a good time. I met Devilfish there and told him it was me who busted him in his bounty tournament online, he replied, "Was that you? You bastard!"

DaMatrix Busts Devilfish (Again)

It happened over 4 years ago at the first VC Poker Cup in London - there the buy-in was £5,000. Today, I busted the Devilfish online in his €10 buy-in Devilfish Bounty tournament winning the €500 bounty!
